TASCOMBANK funded a project to strengthen energy resilience of Sumy

Within the “Municipal resilience” project, the bank provided funding to a Ukrainian production enterprise ATONMASH to implement a project to strengthen the energy infrastructure of Sumy.

Funding envisages production and supply of 4 block-modular boiler rooms with a total power of 4–4.5 MW, which will increase the reliability of heat supply of the city, decrease the community’s dependence on the centralized energy resources and strengthen the resilience of the city’s infrastructure in the conditions of constant missile attacks.

Commenting on the agreement, Rynata Bereznikova, the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of TASCOMBANK said that for the bank such projects are a part of a long-term partnership with the communities:

“We consider municipal projects not as one-time agreements but as an element of systematic interaction between the financial sector, local government, and business. This exact model allows the communities to receive decisions that work in the long run and actually lower the vulnerability to military crises”.

ATONMASH emphasizes that the involved funding creates the conditions for high-quality and predictable implementation of the project.

“It is important for a producer to have a financial partner that understands not only the economy of a project but also its collective value. This allows planning production, complying with the deadlines and providing the community with equipment on which the stability of the city’s infrastructure directly depends,” – stated Andriy Artazey, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ATONMASH.

TASCOMBANK continues to implement financial decisions directed at strengthening of municipal resilience, development of critical infrastructure and support of the Ukrainian communities in partnership with businesses and local government authorities.
