Initiative of collection of the used batteries started at TASCOMBANK more than a year ago. During this period, employees of the Bank collected and transferred for recycling more than 37 kg of the used batteries.

The project started in May 2005. The Bank placed three special containers for the used batteries collection at its Head Office premises; two – at Symon Petlyura office and one at Degtyarivska office in Kyiv. Now the initiative spreads for the whole Head Office of the Bank.

After containers placement, Bank employees started to collect the used batteries and at the end of 2025 the first party of collected batteries was transferred for proper recycling.

Today the project is ongoing. As of now, we have already collected 10 more kg of the used batteries and after we collect the necessary amount – they will be also transferred for recycling.

Project of batteries collection is one of the practical steps of TASCOMBANK in terms of responsible behavior with waste and of ESG-principles implementation. It allows involving employees into the environmental initiatives via simple every day actions.

In the future, the Bank considers the perspective of project scaling and plans to place containers for the used batteries collection at the TASCOMBANK branches.
